Our Covenant for 2008

We commit ourselves to the Lord and to one another.

We will seek the best welfare of each other, always trying to support one another, both in prayer and in practical ways, as brothers and sisters in the Lord.

We will try not to interfere in one another's lives, but will always be genuinely interested and concerned with the way in which each one and each family is going.

We will rejoice at each other's happiness and endeavour with tenderness and sympathy to bear each other's burdens and sorrows.

We will cultivate courtesy towards one another, be slow to take offence and always be ready for reconciliation. Our aim will always be to help each other achieve a closer walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

To this end, we promise to try to read the Bible for ourselves each day and to share the things which the Lord teaches us, with one another. We will spend time in prayer every day and mention one another in our prayers.

We will seek God's guidance for the future of His Kingdom work in Blackmore and all the areas around. When decisions have been made by the Church, we will work together to achieve the very best that can be done. We will each seek to use our God-given spiritual gifts to bless one another.

We will financially support the work of Blackmore Baptist Church with a weekly gift, at whatever level the Lord instructs us to give. We will also seek to make the wisest use of all the money and all the resources and time entrusted to us as individuals and as a Church.

We will make Sunday worship a priority in our diaries and agree to share meals and special times together as covenanted people, as these are called by the leadership whom God sets over us.

In all our ways, we will seek to be patient, good and kind to all men, but especially to the household of faith. Our priority, is to build the Kingdom of God, both in this country and throughout the world. To this end we will encourage one another at every opportunity, because we are family.
